About Alison

​Alison is a dance producer and choreographer with a fascination in the human condition. She creates her own work and supports the realisation of others’, motivated by her belief in dance’s communicative power, and its opportunity to connect people.
After an undergraduate degree in Human Geography and Social Psychology from the University of St Andrews in Scotland, she completed a MA in Creative Practice at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, combining her academic and creative work. Now based in London, her current interest lies in telling stories, questioning what makes us human, and facilitating opportunities to engage in the arts. She is passionate about widening access to dance by challenging who can do it and view it, excited by working in public spaces and rural communities.
She has completed The Fi.ELD programme at East London Dance and is currently participating in the first Producer’s House cohort to upskill creative producers.
Alison’s producing credits include Taylor Han, Sliding Doors Collective, and support for Longterm Creative. She currently works as Programme Coordinator at Independent Dance alongside her freelance work for Sung Im Her, Elinor Lewis and Sababa Co. She is also a Trustee of 2Faced Dance Company.
To date, she has raised over £88,000 of public funding for various projects and tours.
